One of the more literate blogs I enjoy occasionally, openbrackets, recently wondered why there aren't more good collective nouns for people. A "group" of guys, girls, doctors, etc. seems to do the trick, but how boring is that? I liked these suggestions much better. A few good ones:
a finger of urologists
a shimmy of strippers
a pyramid of acrobats
a pep of cheerleaders
a swindle of financial advisors
a blur of diplomats
a binge of alcoholics
a house of crack addicts
a probability of actuaries
a plaque of dental hygienists
a spray of exterminators
a blaze of arsonists
a swoon of silent film actresses
