simple stuff

A few nights ago Jim and I watched the NOVA special "The Elegant Universe," a three-hour show on modern quantum mechanics, string theory, and the Theory of Everything. It was very well done, with sharp graphics, clear descriptions and lots of analogies that make a universe with eleven dimensions seem pretty understandable.
